Develop your skills for leading research infrastructures with a global impact. Apply now for EMMRI – the Executive Masters in Management of Research Infrastructures: the pre-application process is open.
EMMRI is a pillar of the RItrain consortium, an EU-funded Horizon 2020 project aimed at improving and professionalising training for managerial and leadership staff in research infrastructures (RIs).
Our vision is to develop a new generation of executives of national and international RIs who understand the necessity of undergoing professional training to acquire state-of-the-art managerial and leadership skills tailored to the needs of scientific service providers – executives that are committed to continuing professional development for themselves and their staff, and can transition smoothly from one RI to another.
The full Master programme is an official MBA under the Bologna rules. This programme is also managerial training tailored to academic and scientific needs, including online and face-to-face modules. The Master course is delivered by an international faculty, by guest experts, and by top managers from well-established RIs.
In the first half of 2018, the application process will officially start, with the second round of the Master course starting next autumn. View the official course website to apply.
This Master is a high-level course and the first edition obtained 120 applications from all over the world.
To achieve the Master certificate participants are required to attend the full 12 modules programme and to develop a field project. Previous education and experience can be recognised by the curriculum evaluation and pre-entry assessments (tests and colloquium).
To meet the needs of RIs at different stages of development, participants will be able to choose specific modules to benefit from a custom programme. Webinars and case study analysis during the learning path will also be available.
All face-to-face modules will be held at the University of Milano-Bicocca, organised into 3-4 day modules over a period of 18 months.
