We are delighted to announce that a new Self-Assessment Survey for biobanks is available now.
The purpose of the BBMRI-ERIC Self-Assessment Surveys is to encourage researchers and biobankers that are based in our Member/Observer States to implement quality requirements and give them a free tool to assess their sample quality and overall quality management.
Based on the relevant quality management standards and the ISO standard for biobanks, the new “Quality Management Systems – General Requirements for Biobanking” survey is a great tool for biobanks looking to evaluate their quality management system.
You can now choose from a total of ten Self-Assessment Surveys, nine of which are based on the CEN Technical Specifications for biobanks and were released last year.
Fill in our online form here. After you click send, we will receive an email with your request. If your request meets the necessary preconditions**, you will be given access. If you do not meet all the preconditions, you can still submit your request and we will get back to you with further guidance.
After you have completed the Survey, you will receive a report in an email. Your report will not automatically be forwarded to BBMRI-ERIC. You can choose to use it for internal purposes and/or submit it to BBMRI-ERIC for evaluation.
If the sample collection or the biobank as a whole meets the quality requirements, it will be flagged in the BBMRI-ERIC Directory, increasing its visibility. See here for more details.
