Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine International Society (TERMIS) European Chapter Conference 2022 was held in Krakow, Poland, from 28th June to 1st July 2022.
The TERMIS-EU 2022 is devoted to the presentation of cutting-edge achievements in the field of tissue engineering, cell biology, biomaterials, biofabrication, numerical and experimental methods, clinical applications, and many more. The theme of this event was “Perspectives and Challenges in Regenerative Medicine”.
We are pleased to announce that as a part of this event, Laboratory for Cell Research and Application Medical University of Warsaw (LBBK-WUM), which is an acknowledged BBMRI.pl member, organised a symposium entitled “Biobanking – indispensable support for the development of regenerative medicine”. It was the first symposium on biobanking organised within the frame of TERMIS‑EU. Our intention was to increase the understanding of biobanking procedures and their potential in regenerative medicine related research. The symposium was highly attended and gave the great opportunity for interesting discussions on the prospective cooperation between the biobanking community and scientists working in the fields of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. We hope that such sessions will be a permanent element of the TERMIS conference from now on.
Invited speakers: Prof. Lorenzo Moroni from the University of Maastricht and Prof. Malgorzata Lewandowska-Szumiel from the Medical University of Warsaw.
Chairmen: Dr. Anna Chróścicka, Medical University of Warsaw (LBBK-WUM); Prof. Maria Chatzinikolaidou, University of Crete and FORTH-IESL;
The session was sponsored by the Medical University of Warsaw and the Genos company.
