GDPR: WP 29 Publishes Final Guidelines on Consent and Transparency

The Article 29 Data Protection Working Party (WP 29) published the final Guidelines on Consent under Regulation 2016/679 (wp259) on Friday last week and the ones on Transparency under Regulation 2016/679 (wp260) on Monday, after including comments from a public consultation.

WP 29 is an advisory body made up of representatives of the data protection authorities of each EU Member State, the European Data Protection Supervisor and the European Commission. WP29 provides documents offering an interpretation of important issues introduced by the GDPR.
