To find the right treatment for a patient, precision medicine uses data from genetic and molecular research. Biobanks collect, process and store human samples such as from blood or tissue, along with their associated data. Researchers and doctors then use these samples and data for research on targeted treatments. Thus biobanks are an integral part of the treatment process.
