The Swiss Biobanking Platform will be organising the first edition of the “Biobanking 2018” conference, to be held at the Swiss Convention Center – EPFL, Lausanne, on Thursday, the 1st February 2018, from 9 am to 5 pm.
The conference will feature international and national experts sharing their vision on “biobanking of the future”. There will be three expert panels to discuss new directions in state-of-the-art biobanking research. To meet current requirements, the scientific community biobanks need to tackle challenges including harmonised procedures, promotion of high-quality standards or sustainability, all of them in the framework of their ethical, legal and social dimensions. The event will thus provide a forum for discussion around topics on the next biobanking generation with a focus on the optimal usage of biological resources as well as present successful human and non-human biobanking research examples.
