BBMRI-ERIC WELCOMES THE DETAILS ON THE GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION

“BBMRI-ERIC has played a vital role to improve the GDPR“, says BBMRI-ERIC’s Director General Prof. Jan-Eric Litton. BBMRI-ERIC has met with several policymakers and political representatives and teamed up with other organisations like the University of Malta, ECRIN, Erasmus MC, BBMRI.nl, the European Society of Pathology, BBMRI.se, EurocanPlatform and CESSDA for the Day of Action in Brussels on 16 June 2015 organised by ISC. This initiative led to the BBMRI-ERIC Position Paper on the GDPR, which involved the input of 18 National Nodes and the ethical, legal and societal experts of the Common Service ELSI of BBMRI-ERIC.
