BBMRI-ERIC representatives Dr. Mónica Cano Abadía (ELSI / Senior Scientist & Gender, Equality & Diversity Specialist) and Dr. Melanie Goisauf (ELSI / Senior Scientist) contributed to more dialogue between gender studies and AI ethics researchers at the recent Congress of the Feminist Approaches to Bioethics (FAB) (18-19 July) and the 16th World Congress of Bioethics (WCB) in Basel, Switzerland (20-22 July).
Dr. Cano Abadía and Dr. Goisauf presented their research on AI, gender and the construction of the sexed body, providing a feminist perspective on breast cancer imaging, as well as the results of a literature review on the ethics of using AI in radiology, an outcome of EuCanImage!”
