Following a request from the project consortium, the European Commission recently decided to extend the duration of the ADOPT BBMRI-ERIC project for an additional 6 months, postponing its end until 31 March 2019. This will give the team additional time to build the colorectal cancer cohort.
The CRC-Cohort collection is a long-term, joint European endeavor, enabling existing, well-established biobanks to connect with BBMRI-ERIC and obtain increased recognition and visibility along with new users and data.
At a project meeting in London on the 9th October 2018, all partners agreed that an extension is vital in order to reach the target of 10,000 comprehensive datasets of existing colon cancer patients from selected European biobanks.
This project receives funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 676550.
