Biothèque Wallonie Bruxelles will be participating in the conference, taking place on June 14 and 15, to give a talk titled “An Academic Research Network’s Perspective on the Implementation of Biobanking in the Future World of Anticancer Drug Development”.
One day before the official opening of the conference, a workshop titled “Learn an Original Way in which Biobanks Can Contribute to Stratified Medicines” will take place, also led by Biothèque Wallonie Bruxelles.
“At this workshop, we would like to introduce a real change in emphasis to using biobanks rather just how to set biobanks up. We would like to get you involved in this thinking process. We want to illustrate how important it is to apply business development strategies to summarise and creatively brainstorm any product idea in order to reinvigorate biobanking in particular. We want to teach you how to draw business models to be adapted to the changing needs of the marketplace to reveal new possibilities and embrace success. For example, drug development in oncology is undergoing a substantial shift nowadays. The drivers for this are multi-factorial.”
“While 7 wonders of the future world of anticancer drug development have been described to be the key players, the next-generation of biobanking is lacking! If you are ready to change the rules, you belong to this workshop.”
