BBMRI.pl presents draft code of conduct for processing personal data to be used by Polish biobanks

BBMRI.pl, our Polish National Node, is currently working with the Polish Inspector General for the Protection of Personal Data (PIGPPD) to prepare a code of conduct on processing personal data that is to be used by Polish biobanks. On January 12, 2018, members of BBMRI.pl presented the first draft during a seminar organised by PIGPPD.

Specific sections of the draft document are now being reviewed by other BBMRI.pl representatives as well as representatives from the healthcare sector, medical universities in Poland and patient organisations. The next draft will be presented to the public at a conference set to take place in Lublin, Poland, on April 19 and 20.
