BBMRI.tr : The Izmir Biomedicine and Genome Center (IBG) is searching for an ERA Chair

The Izmir Biomedicine and Genome Center (IBG, www.ibg.edu.tr)) invites interested persons to apply for a position as an ERA Chair at IBG (project RareBoost #952346, H2020-WIDESPREAD-06-2020). IBG is an advanced biomedical research and innovation center located in Izmir, Turkey, and hosts the national node of BBMRI-Turkey (BBMRI.tr). Its modern, state-of-the art infrastructure and facilities make IBG the largest and best-equipped public biomedical research infrastructure in Turkey.

The aim of the RareBoost project is to accelerate IBG’s development and help it to become an international Center of Excellence in rare disease research and innovation. The ERA Chair holder will be able to take on a leadership role in basic and translational research on the underlying mechanisms of rare diseases.

The successful candidate should be an established (R3) or leading (R4) researcher with an excellent international reputation in the area of research related to rare diseases.
