BBMRI.de/German Bibank Node: New biobanks in the German Biobank Alliance

The Central Biobank Erlangen (CeBE) is now a partner biobank of the GBA. Furthermore, the biobank alliance welcomes another six biobanks as observers in its network: the Central Biobank of the University of Bielefeld (ZBUB), the Biobank Network of the Ruhr University Bochum (BioNet.RUB), the Biobank of the University Hospital Halle (Saale), the Dieter Morszeck Biorepository at the German Cancer Research Center Heidelberg (DKFZ), the Biobank Structure of the University Hospital Oldenburg and the Biobank Rostock. Academic biobanks at 37 locations and one IT development centre are now working together in the alliance coordinated by the GBN.
