THL Biobank operates under the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) and aims to promote the utilization of nationally significant research data in disease prevention and health promotion. By the end of 2021, THL Biobank had accumulated samples and data from more than 220,000 sample donors in 16 main research collections, including a total of 35 different research projects.
