BBMRI-ERIC, EATRIS and ECRIN release joint statement on Horizon Europe

BBMRI-ERIC, EATRIS and ECRIN released a joint statement on Horizon Europe last week. Speaking at ICRI 2018, the International Conference for Research Infrastructures, in Vienna, Erik Steinfelder had the chance to meet Commissioner Carlos Moedas and present him with a hard copy of the statement.

In their joint paper, BBMRI-ERIC, EATRIS and ECRIN identify four critical
success factors for optimal outcomes in the next funding period with regard to the upcoming Horizon Europe framework programme:

• Avoiding undesired duplication and fragmentation;
• Safeguarding quality and enhancing reproducibility;
• Supporting public engagement by promoting responsible research policies;
• Enabling rigorous innovation management.
