The GDPR was influenced by contingent political priorities that risked creating unwanted effects on health research. The final result is acceptable, but many issues related to health research remain unanswered. The Code of Conduct for Health Research, born from a collaboration of more than 90 research organisations, aims at filling the gaps to guarantee data collection and sharing that enable and enhance health research while respecting patient/citizen rights. Experts and stakeholders will discuss the Code, underlining its added value and suggesting amelioration/critiques to it. The audience will have the chance to engage with the panelists and the Code’s authors.
