CORBEL launches service catalogue

CORBEL, a H2020 cluster project uniting 13 European biological and medical research infrastructures, has launched its Catalogue of Services.

CORBEL aims to create a platform for harmonised user access to biological and medical technologies, samples and expertise in order to support cutting-edge biomedical research.

The CORBEL Catalogue of Services offers an overview on the kind of services (access to samples and technologies, data, tools, expertise etc.) the participating research infrastructures provide. At their home institutions, researchers working in academia, clinics and industry often do not have access to the cutting-edge technologies they would need to be able to handle complex projects. They are the ones that can greatly benefit from utilising a research infrastructure.

The catalogue includes state-of-the art services from the fields of advanced imaging technologies, biobanking, clinical trial, databases, functional genomics, marine model organisms, microorganisms, pathogenic microorganisms, plant phenotyping, screening and medicinal chemistry, structural biology, systems biology and translational research.

When searching the catalogue, users do not only obtain an overview of the services available, but they also receive information on access modes, costs and much more. The website also allows users to create a service pipeline if they need to use several services from different research infrastructures on a step-by-step basis.
