BBMRI-ERIC and its Stakeholder Forum in a Nutshell

Former Director General Jan-Eric Litton and Chief Policy Officer of the Common Service ELSI Michaela Th. Mayrhofer each give us a short summary of BBMRI-ERIC and the Stakeholder Forum respectively.

Jan-Eric provides an overview of BBMRI-ERIC in general, explaining why it was established and what the acronym stands for. He also gives some examples to illustrate in what ways a research infrastructure can contribute to facilitating and advancing medical research.

Michaela, in turn, sheds some light on why the Stakeholder Forum was created and how it helps to protect the interests of patients, research participants, and citizens while enabling high-quality research.
